
Iowa Acquires Jordy Tshimanga from Cleveland

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves, NBA G League affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves, today acquired center Jordy Tshimanga (pronounced Cha-MAHN-gah) from the Cleveland Charge in exchange for Iowa's third-round pick in the 2022 NBA G League Draft. In addition, Iowa waived forward Ruot Monyyong (pronounced ROOT MON-yong).
Tshimanga, an undrafted 6-11 rookie out of the University of Dayton, has played in four games with three starts for the Charge and is averaging 3.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.
Monyyong appeared in the team's preseason exhibition against the G League Ignite, registering five rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 22 minutes.
Iowa hosts the Grand Rapids Gold tonight at 6:30 p.m. CT.
