Kannapolis Cannon Ballers News Release

Kannapolis, NC - The Intimidators received their first home run of the season but it wasn't enough in the opener of a four-game series against Asheville. Kannapolis dropped the contest 4-1.

Logan Johnson belted a long solo home run in the sixth inning to cut the Intimidators deficit in half. But Kannapolis did not score again against Asheville. The Tourists received 5.2 innings of solid pitching from Sheng-An Kuo. Then Asheville turned to the bullpen for 3.1 scoreless innings of relief.

Joining Johnson as the only Intimidators with multiple hits was Jim Gallagher.

The same two teams meet up again tonight at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium. It's a two-for-Tuesday with the first pitch set for 7:05pm. Call 704-932-FANS for tickets or buy them on-line at intimidatorsbaseball.com.
