Inter Miami CF announced today that it has traded midfielder Lee Nguyen to the New England Revolution in exchange for the team's natural fourth-round selection in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft and $50,000 GAM if performance-based metrics are met.

"We want to thank Lee for his contributions to the team during our inaugural season and wish him the best in his future endeavors," said Paul McDonough, Inter Miami CF's COO & Sporting Director. "This trade provides us with salary flexibility for this and next year, as we continue to solidify our roster."

Nguyen was acquired by Inter Miami with the team's third pick in the 2019 MLS Expansion Draft. The midfielder appeared in five matches for the Club, totaling 92 minutes played.

Nguyen will return to New England, where he began his MLS career in 2012. He starred for the team for six seasons from 2012 to 2018, recording 191 games played, 185 starts, 51 goals, and 49 assists.
