Inter Miami CF to Host the Portland Timbers for the First Time on Saturday

Inter Miami CF (4W-6L-3D, 15 points) will close out its third consecutive two-match week on Saturday, May 28 when it hosts the the Portland Timbers (3W-5L-6D, 15 points) in South Florida for the first time in club history. Kickoff at DRV PNK Stadium is set for 8 p.m. ET.

Brightline - GOOOL Getter Trains

Brightline, the only provider of modern, eco-friendly, intercity rail in America, partnered with the club to offer dedicated game day trains along with free shuttles for the 2022 Inter Miami CF season.

With a total of six GOOOL Getter trains per game to choose from, fans won't get caught offside on game day. The first GOOOL Getter train will arrive at Fort Lauderdale approximately two hours before kickoff, the second train will arrive approximately one hour before and the third train will arrive just in time for kickoff.

Due to high demand, fans are encouraged to book tickets ahead of game day and check Brightline's website for train times and prices.

Second Annual Equipment Drive at DRV PNK Stadium

This Saturday, Inter Miami CF are hosting their Second Annual Equipment Drive at DRV PNK Stadium. The home side takes on the Portland Timbers at 8 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to bring and donate new or slightly used soccer equipment to drop off at the Fan Equipment Drop-Off Zone prior to kickoff. The drop off location will be located in the Inter Miami Fan Zone from 5-8 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Once collected, all items will then be distributed to different soccer groups and organizations in the South Florida community that need it the most to help provide access to the beautiful game of fútbol.

Unbeaten in the Last Five at Home

Inter Miami will seek to extend its current five match unbeaten run at home at DRV PNK Stadium, with a record of four wins and a draw in that time. Inter Miami's run began on April 9 with a 3-2 win over the New England Revolution, followed by a 2-1 victory against Atlanta United on April 24, defeating USL League one side South Georgia Tormenta 3-1 in the Round of 32 of the Open Cup on May 10, drawing 2-2 against D.C. United on May 14, and, most recently, topping the New York Red Bulls 2-0 on May 22.

DRV PNK Stadium to Host the Portland Timbers for the First Time

The team will close out the week and a busy month of May on Saturday with the visit of the Portland Timbers. This weekend's meeting will be the second between the sides in club history and the only one in the 2022 MLS regular season.

Scouting the Portland Timbers

The Timbers will enter Saturday's matchup after falling 0-2 on the road against the Philadelphia Union in its last game. So far in the 2022 regular season, the Timbers have recorded three wins, five losses and six draws. Midfielder Yimmi Chará has been the team's leader this campaign, with three goals and four assists thus far.

Inter Miami Leaders in 2022

Ecuadorian striker Leonardo Campana has impressed since his arrival ahead of the 2022 MLS regular season, as he currently leads the side with six goals and ranks second on assists with two.

Ariel Lassiter, meanwhile, who is also in his first campaign at the club, is the team's top assist provider thus far in 2022, with three on his personal account.
