
Nashville Soccer Club to Face Orlando City SC on June 29 in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nashville Soccer Club will travel to Central Florida to take on Orlando City SC on June 29 at 6 p.m. CT in the Quarterfinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
Nashville SC is on the heels of a Round of 16 victory over Louisville City FC that saw the Boys in Gold come from behind to earn a 2-1 win with Aké Loba and Hany Mukhtar finding the back of the net for Nashville.
The Boys in Gold started their Open Cup journey with a dramatic come from behind 3-2 victory in the Round of 32 against Atlanta United FC at GEODIS Park on May 11 in their first-ever Open Cup match at the MLS level.
Nashville SC is just three wins from obtaining its first trophy in club history should the Boys in Gold win the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In addition to silverware, winners of the 2022 Open Cup will receive a place in the 2023 Concacaf Champions League and $300,000.
On its 107th edition, the Open Cup is the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in the United States and the world's third-longest continuously run national cup tournament. The historic tournament is conducted on a single-game, knockout basis and open to all professional and amateur teams affiliated with U.S. Soccer.
