PROW NAMED CCM DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK...
The United States Hockey League announced on Monday that Des Moines Buccaneers' defenseman Ethan Prow has been named the league's defenseman of the week.
Providing veteran leadership and stability for a defensive core that has been rattled with injuries in recent weeks, Prow was a major reason why the Buccaneers' allowed only five goals over their two games last weekend. He also scored the overtime winner in the Buccaneers' 3-2 win over Team USA (U-17) on Saturday night. It was the first goal of the season for Prow and gave the Buccaneers' their first one-goal victory of the season.
A Sauk Rapids, MN native, Prow is in his second season with the Buccaneers and is committed to St. Cloud State. In November, he played with Team USA at the World Junior A Challenge winning a bronze medal.
As the holiday season approaches, the Des Moines Buccaneers would like to ask for your help as we prepare for our 2011 Kids' Night Out. This event, held annually for the last three years, offers a chance for 500 central Iowa youth to just be kids for a night and enjoy a Des Moines Buccaneers hockey game. We are partnering with area businesses to give these underprivileged youth a memorable evening before the holidays!
On Saturday, December 17th we are aiming to give 500 children a night of fun and we need your help! We are asking for fans to purchase tickets for these kids. Local area children's charities will be the beneficiaries when your company purchases tickets for the 2011 Kids' Night Out. Any donations made will be matched by the Buccaneers - that means for as little as $90 your company will provide twenty children tickets to an action packed Buccaneers game.
Help us make 2011 Kids' Night Out a booming success. Call the Des Moines Buccaneers box office today at (515) 278-2827 to make your donation - or fax back this order form to (515) 278-5401.
Each company and/or individual involved will receive recognition on the Buccaneers video board, through the public announcer on game night and inclusion in all press materials in conjunction with the event.
Again, thank you for considering this great event - we sincerely hope that you consider helping us reach our goal of offering 500 children a chance to partake in the 2011 Kids' Night Out!
