Inside the 18: Juan Castillo Returns to Starting XI

New York Red Bulls II will travel to face Louisville City FC on Saturday, July 9, at Lynn Family Stadium.

After spending time with the New York Red Bulls on short-term loans, Juan Castillo is set to make his return to the starting lineup in Saturday's match. He will also wear the captain's armband.

Castillo will be paired with Lamine Conte as center backs, with Curtis Ofori and O'Vonte Mullings playing as outside backs.

The defensive midfield for the second-straight match will be Sam Williams and Michael Knapp. Williams is 86 minutes away from 2,000 for his two seasons playing with Red Bulls II.

Wiki Carmona will make his first start since June 15, joining Jesús Castellano, Jordan Adebayo-Smith, and Zach Ryan to round out the attack.

The bench for Ibrahim Sekagya will feature Derrek Chan, Daniel De Leon, Christopher Cragwell, Bento Estrela, John Murphy, Jeremy Rafanello, and Jonathan Filipe.

Saturday's match will mark Sekagya's first as Interim Head Coach, after previously filling in for three matches throughout his eight years with the club as an Assistant Coach.

Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET, with coverage on ESPN+.
