Inglis makes first roster moves

December 30, 2002 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

Fort Worth—Bill Inglis, the newly appointed head coach of the Ft. Worth Brahmas, wasted very little time in making his first roster moves for the team.

On Sunday, Dec. 29, prior to the Brahmas home game against the Oklahoma City Blazers, Inglis signed defenseman Jeff Washbrook to a contract. Washbrook, who was in training camp with the Brahmas in October but released prior to the start of the regular season, is in his third professional season. During his rookie year of 2000-01, he split time with three different teams—the Lake Charles Ice Pirates (WPHL), Central Texas Stampede (WPHL) and Macon Whoopee (CHL). Last year, the 2001-02 season, he played for the Amsterdam Tigers in Holland. Overall, in 59 professional games played, the Thunder Bay, Ontario native has 1 goal, 4 assists, and 247 penalty minutes.

Inglis also announced that forward Craig Foddrill has been placed on the team's suspended list retroactive to Saturday, Dec. 21. Foddrill returned home to his hometown of Ypsilanti, Michigan for the Christmas break and did not rejoin the Brahmas this past weekend after the holiday. Foddrill's status will be reevaluated within the next week.

The Brahmas will look to snap their current three game losing streak and get their first win under the leadership of Inglis on Tuesday night, Dec. 31, when they host the Indianapolis Ice at the Ft. Worth Convention Center. The game will start at an earlier time of 6:05 p.m. because of the holiday. For more information, please contact the Brahmas office at (817) 336-4423.
