THE WEEK AHEAD
Monday, November 1st Inferno vs. South Carolina Stingrays Carolina Coliseum
The Inferno is 0-0-1 this season and 15-6-2 all-time. This is the second time these two teams will meet. The last game against the Stingrays, the Inferno lost in overtime.
Thursday, November 4th Inferno @ South Carolina Stingrays N. Charleston Col.
The Stingrays are in third place in the Eastern Division with 7 points (3-0-1). This is the third game out of 10 games this season.
Friday, November 5th Inferno vs. Pee Dee Pride Carolina Coliseum
This is the first meeting between the Pride and Inferno during the regular season. These two teams met during pre-season and the Inferno won 9-1. The Pride is tied for first place in the Eastern Division, along with Charlotte.

Tuesday, October 26th COLUMBIA 4 Greenville 2
Alex Burrows scores a hat trick to give the Inferno their first win of the 2004-05 season. The Inferno traveled to play the Greenville Grrrowl and rode away with a 4-2 win. Burrows scored his third goal of the season, first of the game, at 5:05 of the first period with a pass from Kyle Bruce. Greenville's Edward Caron tied the game at 2:38 of the second period. Three minutes later, Burrows scores shorthanded as he tallied his second goal of the night. At 11:10, Brad Ralph scores his first goal of the season as the Inferno take a 3-1 lead. Burrows scored his third goal of the night at 8:12 of the third period to give the Inferno a three-goal cushion. Carl Mallette scored for Greenville at 8:50. Rob McVicar earns his first win this season as he stops 19 of 20 shots on goal. The Inferno had 18 shots and was 0 of 3 on the power play.
Friday, October 29th CHARLOTTE 4 Columbia 3 (OT)
The Columbia Inferno drops another heartbreaker in overtime as the Charlotte Checkers stole the two points to win 3-2. Columbia was on the board first with a shorthanded goal by Ryan Campbell, as he picked the puck up at the red line and scored on a breakaway at 6:11 of the first period. Charlotte tied the game at 12:21 with a goal by Dan Preston. Kyle Bruce scored his first goal of the season at 6:08 of the second period with a slapshot from the right face-off circle to give the Inferno a 2-1 lead. They held that lead until 19:20 of the third period, when Charlotte's Eddie Pershin scored as the Checkers were on a 6-on-4 power play opportunity. Ryan Cuthbert scored 35 seconds into the overtime period to give the Checkers their third win of the season.
Saturday, October 30th CHARLOTTE 5 Columbia 4
The Charlotte Checkers stopped the Inferno for a second night in a row as they take the 5-4 win over Columbia. Charlotte scored three fast goals in the first period to take a quick lead. The Inferno battled back in the second period as they tied the game at three. Brad Ralph scored at 14:47 off of an Aaron Smith rebound shot for the first Inferno goal. At 15:11, Ryan Campbell redirected a Robin Carruthers wrist shot to bring the Inferno within one goal. On the power play, at 17:40, Chanse Fitzpatrick scored with help from Steve Slaton and Trevor Demmans to tie the game up at three a piece. Charlotte scored at 6:37 of the third period to take the one-goal lead. The Inferno tied the game for a second time at 12:08 as Ralph scored his second goal of the night, with help from Fitzpatrick. Charlotte answered back at 17:05 to score their fifth goal of the night and steal the win from the Inferno.
