Tampa, Fla. - The Florida State League named Tampa Yankees Infielder Jorge Mateo Player of the Week today. This honor was for games played August 10 - 16, 2015.
Mateo played in five (5) games and collected 10 hits in 23 plate appearances for a .435 batting average. He had three (3) doubles, one (1) triple, scored four (4) times, with three (3) stolen bases and four (4) RBI's. His OBP was .458 and slugging percentage was .652.
This is the second year of professional baseball for the 2010 non-drafted free agent from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic.
