Indy Eleven to Face Dayton Dutch Lions in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Third Round Match on May 28

INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, May 15, 2014) - Indy Eleven's Third Round match-up in the 2014 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is now set, and it's the Dayton Dutch Lions of the USL PRO League that will serve as the opponent for the Eleven's tournament debut on Wednesday, May 28. Kickoff at IUPUI's Michael A. Carroll Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the match can now be purchased at IndyEleven.com and are available for $10-$30 in General Seating areas and $40-$150 in Premium Seating areas. Fans can also purchase their seats by calling the Indy Eleven offices at 317-685-1100, or at the Indy Eleven Box Office at Carroll Stadium before, during or after the team's NASL regular season affair against Ottawa Fury FC this Saturday night.

Indy Eleven Season Ticket Holders should note that the May 28^th game will serve as "Game 15" in their 2014 package.

With the Second Round now in the books, 48 of the 80 participating teams remain in the running to lift the Dewar Challenge Trophy later this fall. Thirty-two teams, including all eight eligible NASL squads, will square off from May 27-28 for the right to advance to the Fourth Round, to be held between June 10-18.

The winner of this year's 101st edition of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup will receive one of the four spots issued to American teams in the 2015/16 edition of the CONCACAF Champions League, the continental club championship for teams based in North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Played annually since 1914, The Cup is the oldest cup competition in the country and is a single elimination tournament open to all affiliated amateur and professional teams in the United States. The tournament has crowned a champion for 100 consecutive years dating back to 1914. This year's winner will earn $250,000 and have its name engraved on the historic Dewar Challenge Trophy, one of the oldest nationally contested trophies in American team sports. The runner-up will take home $60,000, while the team that advances the furthest from each lower division will earn a $15,000 cash prize.
