Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The Pawtucket Red Sox never got the offense rolling on Thursday night in Indianapolis, losing to the Western Division leaders 5-1. Two runs in the third, two more in the sixth and a final run in the seventh, were more than enough for Indy. Chase D'Arnaud had a triple and an RBI single. Jose Tabata had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. Jefff Clement and Brandon Boggs added back to back RBI doubles. Tony Pena fell to 1-9, working five and a third innings. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits.
Pawtucket scraped together just a run on 6 hits. Jon Hee had a pair of hits, including a double and Ryan Lavarnway the only Pawtucket run batted in. The PawSox fall to 59-48.
The series and road trip wraps up on Friday night at 7:15 p.m. Lefty Chris Hernandez (0-0) faces Daniel Cabrera (4-4).
