THIS ONE STINGS: The Red Wings allowed a season-high 17 runs, a season-high 22 hits, and a season-high 4 home runs...the Wings last gave up 17 or more runs July 21, 2011, when Durham (Rays) posted an 18-3 win at Frontier Field.

THAT'S A LOT OF RUNS: Syracuse and Rochester combined for 26 runs, the highest total for a Red Wings game since Rochester and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre combined for 31 runs in 13 innings April 25, 2009 at Frontier Field (a 17-14 Yankees win)...it was the highest run total in a 9-inning Red Wings' game since Rochester and Durham combined for 26 July 25, 2005 at Frontier Field (a 14-12 Red Wings win).

CHRIS'S BLISS: Chris Parmelee hit his 5th and 6th home runs for the 3rd multi-homer game of his pro career...he also had 2-homer games June 15, 2007 and June 5, 2008 with Single-A Beloit.

MORE CHRIS: Chris Parmelee has hit safely in a season-high 6 straight games (.385, 10-for-26) and in 10 of his last 11 contests (.356, 16-for-45).

RAY...DINNER...DINNER, RAY: Ray Chang has hit safely in 7 straight games, going 9-for-26 (.346).

DON'T MISS DEOLIS: Deolis Guerra made his first appearance since June 28 at Lehigh Valley...he missed 20 games with right shoulder tendinitis.
