SPOKANE, Wash. - Cam Schiller lined a two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning, as the Spokane Indians rallied for a 6-5 victory over the Boise Hawks, before 6,913 fans at Avista Stadium.

Trailing 5-3 in the eight, Joe Maloney led off the inning with his fourth homer of the season, followed by a Smerling Lantigua single. After a sacrifice bunt, Gabriel Roa singled to put runners on the corners - with Schiller finding the right-centerfield gap with the game-winner.

The Hawks jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second, as Rock Shoulders launched a two-run homer to right, with Gioskar Amaya adding an RBI triple and Stephen Bruno RBI single. After the Indians got a pair back in the third, Boise got a solo homer by Dong-Yub Kim, hooked around the right-field foul pole to push the lead to 5-2, before Spokane began the rally.

Schiller went 3-for-5 for the Indians, with Ryan Rua and Patrick Cantwell each recording two hits. Joe Burns picked up the win with a scoreless eighth inning, with Josh McElwee tossing a 1-2-3 ninth for his seventh save.

Amaya went 2-for-4 in the loss, as Eddie Orozco blew his second-straight save opportunity and picked up his first loss.

Game 2 of the series is tomorrow night, with Tayler Scott meeting Connor Sadzeck at 7:35 p.m. (MT).
