- Do You Believe in Magic? - Kinston's magic number is now three games with eleven games to go in the first half. Salem and Myrtle Beach are now officially eliminated from first half contention.
- As a Team - Kinston's 41-18 mark is the second best record in all of Minor League Baseball, two games behind Triple-A Charlotte who boasts a 42-16 record. Cleveland's Minor League teams combined record is first in baseball at 133-103.
- First Half Record? - Kinston's franchise record for most wins in a half is 46 wins, achieved in the first half of the 1997 season. The most wins in a half by a Carolina League Team is 49 by Peninsula in the second half of the season in 1982, Lynchburg matched that feat in the first half of 1983, winning 49 games. . The Kinston franchise record for wins in an 140 game Carolina League season is 89.
- Crowe is Soaring - Trevor Crowe was 3-3 last night, scoring all three runs in the K-Tribe's 3-1 victory...Crowe leads the league with 48 runs scored, is second in steals (26), second in walks (44), second in obp (.432), third in hits (65) and fifth in batting average (.313). Crowe is sixth in all of Minor League Baseball in steals, runs scored and seventh in walks.

o Wyatt Toregas - first in average (.348), second slugging (.532), third obp (.430), he's thrown out 22 of 46 potential base thieves this season (48%)
o Argenis Reyes - second in the league in hits (66)
