Indians in Playoff Hunt with Five Games Remaining (revised)

Spokane, WA -The Indians kick off a critical five-game series against the Everett Aquasox (Seattle Mariners affiliate) tonight at 6:30 p.m. for Indians Team Photo Giveaway presented by Lawton Printing and SportsRadio 1510 KGA with a trip to the TicketsWest Northwest League Playoffs on the line.

Spokane is currently tied with Boise for the second best overall record, which will determine who reaches the playoffs if Tri-City holds on to win the second half. If the Indians and Hawks finish the season with the same overall record, the Indians hold the tie-breaker on the strength of a better divisional record in the season's second half.

If the Indians advance, their first game of the TicketsWest Northwest League Playoffs would be Monday, September 5th against the Dust Devils at Avista Stadium. Game two and game three (if necessary) will be played on Tuesday, September 6th and Wednesday, September 7th at Gesa Stadium in Pasco, Washington.

The TicketsWest Northwest League Playoffs are also presented by Radio Spokane.

Tomorrow's game is Red Out Night presented by Premera Blue Cross and 103.9 BOB FM. Indians players will be wearing special red jerseys which will be auctioned off during the game with proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association. Additionally, fans can receive free cholesterol screenings before the game courtesy of Inland Northwest Health Services.
