Spokane Indians News Release
SPOKANE, WA - The Spokane Indians took what the Boise Hawks gave them and went on to win 7-6 on a cool night at Avista Stadium. With the win over the second place Hawks the Indians now lead the division by seven games.
Boise got on the board quickly in the 1st inning on a solo home run by Josh Vitters. The Indians then scored seven runs in a three inning span. Leftfielder Mike Bianucci was the star of the night as he went 3 for 4 with two RBI along with an amazing diving catch that prevented a certain Hawks double in the 9th inning. Dennis Guinn also had a great game, finishing 2 for 3 with a triple and one RBI.
Indians starter Neil Ramirez went four innings, giving up three hits and just one run. Reliever Corey Ragsdale picked up the win in one inning of work, his first of the season. Ryan Schlecht picked up his third save of the season.
The Indians return to Avista Stadium tomorrow for the third and final game of the three-game homestand against Boise. Tomorrow night is Yoke$B!G(Js $1 Family Feast Night presented by Yoke$B!G(Js Fresh Market and 92.9 ZZU.
