INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians have announced an agreement with Bright House Networks to televise 17 regular season games during the remainder of the 2009 season. The schedule begins Saturday with a telecast of the Indians SOLD OUT contest against the division rival Louisville Bats at 6 p.m. Bright House Networks will carry Indians games on channel 2.

"We are pleased to be able to project the fun and excitement of Indians Baseball at Victory Field via this new schedule of telecasts on Bright House Networks," said Indians Vice President Cal Burleson. "We believe that the family-oriented atmosphere we provide will translate well on these telecasts and help to increase our fan base. The concept of Baseball Up Close will now be brought into more homes, and we believe will interest even more people in coming to see us play."

"We're elated about our new partnership with the Indianapolis Indians and excited to offer live telecasts from Victory Field on Bright House Networks," said Buz Nesbit, president of Bright House Networks Indiana. "We're pleased to be able to offer even more local programming to our subscribers with Indianapolis Indians baseball and other exclusive local programming on Central Indiana On Demand that they can watch at any time on their schedule."

Howard Kellman, who is in his 34th year as radio play-by-play "Voice of the Tribe," and Scott McCauley, who is in his 4th season with the Indians broadcast team, will call the action as a part of a simulcast with WXLW-950, the radio home of Indians baseball.

Kellman was Indiana's 2002 Sportscaster of the Year and was recently inducted into the Indiana Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association Hall of Fame. He has also served as the lead announcer for ESPN's coverage of the past three Bricktown Showdowns.

McCauley spent parts of seven seasons as a Minor League Baseball broadcaster with the South Bend Silver Hawks (2000-01), Akron Aeros (2002) and Dayton Dragons (2004-05) and hosted "The Meltdown" and "Indy College Gameday/Tip-Off" on ESPN-950 before joining the Tribe in 2006.
