FORT MILL, S.C. - July 1, 2009 - As summer season kicks into high gear, the Charlotte Knights baseball season rolls along. The Knights will be home for 9 games beginning July 4 through the 12 leading into the All-Star break. Charlotte will host the Durham Bulls July 4-6, Norfolk July 7-9 and concluding with a three-game series against the Gwinnett Braves July 10-12. Here are the details to the Knights upcoming home stand:
Saturday, July 4 - Once again, the best place to catch Fourth of July fireworks will be out at Knights Stadium where the Charlotte Knights take on the Durham Bulls on July 4 at 7:15 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and parking will be $5. Following the last out of the game, the area's greatest fireworks display will commence. The show will be synchronized to a patriotic soundtrack played live inside the stadium and broadcast on WBT Radio (1110 AM & 99.3 FM). Fireworks are presented by News Talk 1110 WBT, Jeep, Time Warner Cable, A Child's Place and The Charlotte Observer.
Sunday, July 5 - Sunday is Family Fun Day presented by BB&T Bank. After the game, kids get to run the bases courtesy of Discovery Place. Game time is 5:15 p.m.
Monday, July 6 - Knights fans can enjoy one of the best deals in sports. For $19 fans can a General Admission ticket and an all you can eat buffet. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
Tuesday, July 7 - is Bi-Lo Bonus Ticket Tuesdays. Show your Bi-Lo Bonus card at the Knights Box office and buy one ticket at regular price and get a second one free. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
Wednesday, July 8 - is Harris Teeter VIC Card nights and Dollar Hot Dog Night. Fans can purchase tickets at the Knights Stadium ticket office and present their Harris Teeter VIC Card to get an additional free ticket. Fans can also purchase hot dogs for just $1 on Wednesday night games. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
Thursday, July 9 - Every Thursday is Thirsty Thursday presented by Hooters with $1 sodas and $2 select beers. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
Friday, July 10 - Fans can also use their Friday Fun Pass this night. Go to www.charlotteknights.com/familyfun to print up the pass and receive two general admission tickets, two hot dogs and two Blue Bunny ice cream cones for $10 presented by Blue Bunny Ice Cream and Harris Teeter. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
Saturday, July 11 - The first 1,000 kids out at the ballpark will be given a Knights Beach Bag courtesy of Kellogg's & Harris Teeter. Fans will be able to enjoy post-game fireworks presented by NewsTalk 1110 WBT, Time Warner Cable, Goodwill and The Charlotte Observer. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
Sunday, July 12- Every Sunday is BB&T Family Sundays. Following the game, kids get to run the bases presented by Discovery Place. Game time is 12:15 p.m.
