Kinston looks to rebound from a 10-1 loss to Potomac last night by sending Russell Young to the mound for game two tonight starting at 6:35 pm.
All Good Things Must Come To An End-K-Tribe All-Star Lonnie Chisenhall saw his season-high 16 game hitting streak come to an end yesterday by going 0-for-4 and reaching on an error. The streak lasted from June 26th to July 16th. Over that stretch, Lonnie was 20-for-63 (.318) with two homers, eight doubles, eight runs and10 RBI. The streak was tied for the 4th longest streak in the CL this season. It was Chisenhall's third hitting streak of 11 or more games this season, as he had streaks of 11 and 12 games earlier in the campaign. Chisenhall has not gone more than two straight games without a hit, and has just four back-to-back hitless games this season. Lonnie also has 22 multi-hit games on the season, pacing the team.
