Indians Announce Six Televised Games for 2011

Spokane, WA - The Spokane Indians are excited to bring their fans another way to enjoy top-notch baseball action by partnering with SWX TV to televise six premiere Indians games throughout the 2011 season, starting with Opening Night on June 17th vs. Salem-Keizer.

The Opening Night broadcast will feature play-by-play from Sam Adams of SWX and color commentary from former big leaguer Kevin Stocker. Stocker, a native of Spokane, spent eight years in the majors with Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, and Anaheim.

The Indians televised one game on SWX last year; the team's first game on television since 1994.

SWX TV is a sports and weather division of KHQ Broadcasting, and can be seen on Comcast channel 115, Time Warner, Cable One, Northland Cable, and Charter cable, or over-the-air for digital viewers on 6.2.

In addition to Opening Night, the five other games that will be featured on SWX TV are, July 8th vs. Vancouver, July 23rd vs. Tri-City, August 19th and August 20th vs. Boise, and the season finale September 3rd vs. Everett. All televised games have a 6:30 p.m. start time.

The Spokane Indians are the short season class "A" affiliate for the Texas Rangers. The Indians open the 2011 season on Friday, June 17th against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes with Opening Night Fireworks and AAA Magnet Schedule Giveaway presented by Les Schwab Tires, KREM 2-TV, 93.7 The Cat, and SportsRadio 1510 KGA at Avista Stadium. A Coors Light Post-Game Concert featuring the Kelly Hughes Band will also follow the game. The game will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1510 KGA and on SWX TV.
