Indianapolis Indians News Release
INDIANAPOLIS -- For the second straight season, prices for Indianapolis Indians single-game tickets will remain the same. As they did in 2008, fans can enjoy a single-game box seat for $13 and single-game reserved seat for $9, while children 14 and under will continue to receive one dollar of the regular price. Meanwhile, full and half season ticket plans will also remain at $525 and $385 a plan.
The Indianapolis Indians will open their 2009 regular-season schedule with a nine-game homestand against division rivals Toledo, Columbus and Louisville. The Tribe will square off with the Mud Hens in a four-game series (April 9-12) before facing the Clippers (April 13-15) in a three-game series and the Bats for a two-game set (April 16-17).
The Indians then head on an 11-game road trip against those same division rivals from April 18-29. This first road trip includes two games at Louisville (April 18-19), three in Toledo (April 20-22), four in Columbus (April 23-26) and finishes up with two more in Louisville (April 27-28).
The Indians are scheduled to play 144 regular-season contests in 152 days between April 9 and Sept. 7. The 72-game home slate includes 10 tilts in April, 14 in May, 17 in June, 11 in July, 15 in August and 5 in September.
The Tribe is also scheduled to host Louisville in the annual 4th of July game at Victory Field. A sellout crowd of 15,123 gathered for the 2008 Independence Day special.
The three-day All-Star Break will take place July 13-15. The 2008 mid-season classic will be played at PGE Park in downtown Portland, Oregon.
Thirteen of the International League's 14 clubs will remain the same, but the Atlanta Braves will be moving their Triple-A affiliate from Richmond to Gwinnet County, Ga, a suburb of Atlanta. Indianapolis will make its first trip to Gwinnet County on May 25-28.
