INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians are coming off their best regular-season attendance total in six years, but the club is pleased to announce no increase in 2008 ticket prices. The Tribe's first homestand will include four games against Norfolk (April 11-14) and four contests vs. Pawtucket (April 15-18).

Single-game tickets for the 2008 season will remain at $9 (reserved) and $13 (box seats), while children 14-and-under receive $1 off per ticket. Fans can save over 40% on a full-season ticket, while seven, 14 and 21-game mini plans are also available. Season tickets start at just $450 per seat, while mini plans begin at just $63 per ticket.

Indianapolis will host Louisville in the annual 4th of July game at 6 p.m. Fans will be invited to stick around for the downtown fireworks spectacular following the contest. The Indians will also have three special 11 a.m. starts -- April 30, May 15 and May 21 -- on "Baseball in Education" days at Victory Field.

Eight Sunday games and eight Wednesday affairs will begin at 2 p.m., while the standard Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday start time will once again be 7 p.m. In a change from 2007, Friday contests will now begin at 7:15 p.m.

The Tribe will play 144 regular-season games in 152 days between April 3 and Sept. 1. The 72-game home slate includes 14 tilts in April, 12 in May, 16 in June, 17 in July and 13 in August.

The three-day All-Star Break will take place July 14-16. The 2008 midseason classic will be played at Louisville Slugger Field, just two hours south of Indianapolis.

The International League has also re-formatted its schedule for 2008. Indianapolis will pick up 16 games against West Division opponents and drop 16 contests vs. South Division foes. The Indians will now play 21 games against Columbus (10 home/11 road), 21 vs. Toledo (11 home/10 road) and 22 against Louisville (11 home/11 road).

The Tribe will battle Buffalo, Lehigh Valley, Pawtucket, Rochester, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Syracuse, Charlotte, Durham, Norfolk and Richmond eight times each (4 home/4 road) in 2008.

Indianapolis enjoyed the league's second-best attendance increase in 2007, jumping 10 percent from an average of 7,608 to 8,383. The Indians played four home games in front of at least 14,000 people this past season, six contests in front of at least 13,000 and 10 tilts in front of at least 12,000.
