Durham Bulls News Release
Durham, NC - For the first time in their Triple-A History, the Durham Bulls won't have any 7:00 PM games.
In an effort to enhance the experience of watching Durham Bulls baseball on television, all home game times for the 2008 season have been moved to five minutes after the hour. The move will give the Durham Bulls television crew the opportunity to preview the game while ensuring that the television audience never misses the first pitch.
"We try our best to give the fans at home the full experience of seeing a Durham Bulls baseball game," General Manager Mike Birling said, "Giving them a better rundown of the evening's game along with the occasional peek at the pre-game festivities will add to their enjoyment."
The release of the new game times precedes an expected announcement of the biggest television broadcast schedule in team history. Last season, the team had 44 out of 72 regular season home games broadcast on FOX DT, Time Warner Cable Channel 251. FOX DT is now Retro Television Network (RTN), but that station will remain the home of the Durham Bulls.
The Durham Bulls open the 2008 home season on Friday, April 11th against the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees. The team is currently taking orders for season tickets through www.durhambulls.com or by phone at (919) 687-6500.
