Independence Celebration at Trustmark Park

Pearl, MS -- The Mississippi Braves invite all Central Mississippians to come out to Trustmark Park to celebrate our nation's independence with our nation's pastime and your M-Braves this coming weekend. The Braves will host the Chattanooga Lookouts in a four-game series starting on July 4th, Independence Day and we'll celebrate all weekend.

On the fourth, the Braves will wear 'Patriotic Jerseys' in the third 'Shirt off our Backs Night' during the game. Fans in attendance can bid on the game-worn jerseys during a silent auction and receive them along with the players' autograph after the game. There will also be a special super-sized version of the Friday Night Fireworks Extravaganza following the game.

On Saturday night, July 5th, the M-Braves will honor the Air-National Guard and have an appearance by Jake the Diamond Dog. There will be another Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza following the game and a silent auction where fans can bid on awesome Braves' memorabilia during the game.

Sunday, July 6th will be the M-Braves first Sunday night game with first-pitch scheduled for 7:05 pm. The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a FREE 2008 Mississippi Braves baseball card team set. After the game, the Braves will celebrate the 2008 Independence Day with the Comcast Cable Kids Run the Bases and, for the final time during the homestand, another fireworks extravaganza.

Sunday will also be the Braves' FamilyFest when a family of four can get four dugout level seats, four hot dogs or hamburgers, four 16 oz. soft drinks, four bags of peanuts or cracker jacks, four M-Braves baseball caps, two game programs, and free fun zone wristbands for children. Also on Sunday, the American Cancer Society Fight Back Express bus will be in attendance. Fans will be able to sign the Fight Back Express bus to show their support for cancer patients.

Monday, July 7th will be Dollar Dog Monday when all hot dogs will be $1 and Military Monday when any member of any US Military Division will get a field level seat for themselves and their families for $2 each. It's also Church Bulletin Monday when fans get half-price field level seats for any family presenting a church bulletin and Chevron Bonus Monday when fans who show their Chevron credit card receive a FREE Braves game ticket with the purchase of a Braves ticket of equal or lesser value.
