Impact Places Midfielder Blake Smith on Waivers

Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Thursday that midfielder Blake Smith has been placed on waivers.
"It was not going to be easy for Blake to find playing time with the quality depth that we have in our wide midfield position," said Impact technical director Adam Braz. "It's the right decision for both the club and for him, as we want to allow Blake the opportunity to continue to grow and find another team. We wish him the best of luck in the future."
The Impact will play its next game this Saturday, at 4pm EDT, at Stade Saputo, against the Portland Timbers (tickets: ticketmaster.ca).
