
Impact Acquires Second Round Pick in 2013 MLS SuperDraft

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Sporting Kansas City's highest second round pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for defender Josh Gardner. The option on Gardner's contract has been exercised and he has been added to the Sporting Kansas City roster. As per Major League Soccer and club policy, details of the deal were not disclosed.
The Impact now has two first round picks and two second round picks in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft, to be held on January 17, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Gardner played six regular-season games in 2012, including five starts, registering 451 minutes of play.
He previously played with the Columbus Crew and LA Galaxy over his MLS career.
