CORPUS CHRISTI - For Astros fans in search of a deeper dive into the Houston farm system, look no further than #IMHOOKED, a 30-minute show about the club's Double-A affiliate, the Corpus Christi Hooks. The program debuts this Saturday, June 27 at 1:30 PM CT, one hour prior to ROOT SPORTS' Houston Astros pregame coverage of the 3:10 PM game against the New York Yankees.
The first episode introduces fans to new Hooks manager Rodney Linares and illustrates the chemistry between former college teammates first baseman Conrad Gregor and second baseman Tony Kemp. The show also profiles the only Spanish radio broadcaster in minor league baseball to call a full 70-game home schedule - Eduardo Becerra.
Hooks radio broadcaster Chris Blake hosts #IMHOOKED, with reporting from the Voice of the Hooks Michael Coffin, Ballpark Entertainment Director JD Davis and Video Production Coordinator Amy Johnson.
