SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have announced forwards Bokondji Imama and Kyle Ward have been named the Player and Student of the Month for December.
Imama, 20, is the Irving Oil Player of the Month.
The Montreal-native posted 12 goals and two assists for 14 points in ten games last month. Highlights included a hat trick in a 4-1 victory over the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada on December 11th, and another three-goal game in a 7-2 triumph over the Moncton Wildcats on December 30th. He also had a pair of two-goal games.
Entering play on Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Lightning prospect has 24 goals in his last 23 games.
Ward, 19, is the Swagelok Student of the Month.
The native of Sackville found his passion this year at school and it has shown in both effort and grades. He displayed maturity and discipline in both of his online courses this semester, worked hard to meet deadlines and demonstrated a willingness to learn.
On the ice, Ward registered three goals and two assists for five points in ten games in December.
