Boise, ID. – Friday and Saturday nights at the BofA Centre the Idaho Steelheads begin the 2002 Larry Miller Subaru / Mitsubishi Taylor Cup Finals against the Fresno Falcons. The Steelheads posted a 5-3-0 regular season record against the Sabercats, including a 3-1-0 mark at the BofA Centre. The Steelheads have home ice advantage for the best of seven series with games one, two, six and seven at home as necessary. The series is broken down by the numbers in the following paragraphs. That's Notable

Idaho – John Olver has now reached the Taylor Cup Finals six times as a head coach. Olver lead Fresno to the finals in 96, Tacoma in 98, 99 and 00, and Idaho in 01 and 02.

Fresno – The Falcons went 9-24-3 in the first half of the season when they were crippled with injuries, however they rebounded to go 24-7-5 in the second half.
