Bacon Bits:
Winger Billy Tibbetts tied a UHL postseason record and set an IceHogs record when he recorded six points (4g-2a) against Kalamazoo in Game Two.
The 15 combined goals in Game Two was an IceHogs postseason record for most combined goals in a playoff game.
Rookie winger Chaz Johnson leads the Hogs in multi-goal games with three in the postseason.
Winger Greg Barber netted his third playoff short-handed goal, an IceHogs club record.
Center Preston Mizzi set a club postseason record with four assists in Game Two,
Sunday's attendance of 2,732 was lowest in IceHogs postseason history.
Rockford has been outshot in seven of its eight postseason games this season.
The IceHogs have outscored Kalamazoo 6-0 in the third period in Semifinal series, but have been outscored 13-3 in the first and second periods.
Hot Hog Week 29:
Forward Billy Tibbetts tied a UHL record and set an IceHogs postseason mark when he notched 4g-2a-6pts against Kalamazoo in Game Two of the Colonial Cup Semifinals. Despite missing the first two games of the playoffs, Tibbetts leads the Hogs with 10 points in the postseason.
Upcoming Games:
Wednesday, May 10 vs. Kalamazoo Wings (Game Four): Game time is 7:30 p.m. The Hogs face its first elimination game of the postseason when they face the Wings on Wednesday. It's win or go home for the Hogs as they look to avoid a series sweep by the Wings.
Friday, May 12 at Kalamazoo Wings (Game Five, if necessary): The puck drops at 6:30 p.m. If Rockford staves off elimination in Game Four, the series swings back to Kalamazoo for Game Five and the Hogs will be playing to live for another day in the postseason.
Sunday, May 14 vs. Kalamazoo Wings (Game Six, if necessary): Game starts at 5:05 p.m. Well things could get interesting if Rockford can force a Game Six at the MetroCentre on Sunday. The Hogs need to win both Games Four and Five to return home for Game Six. A win here would force a series deciding Game Seven in Kalamazoo on Tuesday, May 16.
