Indy Fuel News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs announced Monday that they have recalled forward Daniel Ciampini from the ECHL's Indy Fuel.
Ciampini, 25, leaves Indy in the midst a three-game point streak (2g, 5a), logging a goal and two assists in both of the Fuel's wins last weekend. The rookie forward scored in overtime to clinch a 4-3 Indy victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones on Thursday, his first professional game-winning goal. Through 44 games with Indy this season, Ciampini has amassed 12 goals and 21 assists, his 33 points ranking fourth in team scoring. Ciampini's eight multi-point games in 2015-16 is second-most on the Fuel roster.
In 10 appearances with the IceHogs this season, Ciampini has recorded one goal, two penalty minutes and seven shots on goal. The native of Concord, Ontario played in 15 games for the AHL's Worcester Sharks in 2014-15 upon completing his senior season at Union College. While with the Sharks, Ciampini compiled six points (3g, 3a).
The Fuel also signed forward Rob De Fulviis Monday. This season De Fulviis logged three games for the Wheeling Nailers, in addition to tallying 23 points (7g, 16a) in 23 games for the University of Guelph.
Winners of three straight, the Fuel play four of their final five games on the road to wrap up the regular season. Indy travels to Cincinnati, Fort Wayne and Quad City this weekend before ending their 2015-16 slate with a home-and-home set with the Komets on April 8-9.
Next Home Game: Friday, April 8 vs. Fort Wayne Komets - 7:35 p.m. The Fuel extend a stick tap to the greatest fans in the ECHL on Fan Appreciation Night!
