Port Huron Icehawks News Release

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks of the International Hockey League are teaming up with the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association to present a spring hockey league for youth at McMorran Arena.

The Icehawks and Port Huron Minor Hockey will offer several spring programs for a variety of age groups, including a house league, travel hockey and three-on-three hockey. Spring hockey begins at the end of March.

The cost of all leagues includes a special Icehawks jersey and also comes with a unique benefit. Any youth who wears their jersey to an Icehawks home game will receive a free ticket with one paid adult admission. The offer is good for any Icehawks home game during the regular season and through the playoffs.

The Icehawks are also offering players and parents an opportunity to raise money to help offset the cost of playing hockey. Sell Icehawks ticket vouchers for $10 and $3 of each ticket sold will be returned to you.

The offerings include a house league with 13 players per team for Mites and Bantams, with ten home games and five practices. The cost for this program is just $49 for Mini-Mites and $99 for Mites and Bantams. There will also be a cross-ice program for children under eight, with 15 total skates, for just $49.

Three-on-three will also be held for those eight and under, ages 8-11 and ages 12-14. This division is non-checking and cross-ice and includes ten games and two playoff games for just $59. A full-ice division for high school students will also be available at the cost of $99.

For more information or to register for any of the spring hockey programs, visit www.phhockey.com or call the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association at 810-982-0242.
