Bloomington has an 18-6-0-2 record on the three teams behind it in the standings and a 3-14-2-3 mark on the teams ahead of it in the standings. The PrairieThunder worn specialty sweaters for the fourth time February 12th and continued its unbeaten streak in them with a 5-2 win over Quad City.
Flint Generals (2-1-0-0)- The Generals concluded the weekend with a 2-1-0-0 record, all three against Port Huron, the second place team in the league. When the -'Jacks swept the two-game home-and-home series this past weekend over Dayton, they ran their winning streak over the Gems to six in a row. The Lumberjacks have been a dominant team with the best first period record in the IHL, outscoring their opposition overall 65-35. Russo stopped all 64 shots he faced, including a 35-save effort in an overtime win against Austria. Italy won all three of their games, allowing just one goal all weekend. With Russo in Italy, Larry Sterling made three starts in three nights. Sterling turned in a spectacular effort in Sunday night's win against Flint, doing everything it took to help his team avoid a five-game losing streak. Sterling stopped 34 of 36 shots, turned away a John Mori penalty shot, and chipped in with assists on two of Port Huron's three goals. Sterling and Russo have three assists each this season and are the highest scoring goaltending duo in the IHL.

Levesque has now posted six multiple goal games this season. The Mallards yesterday hurled 40 shots at the Dayton net- the second time this season Quad City has put 40 or more shots on goal in a game. One night earlier the Mallards had surrendered a league single period season high 26 shots in the second period of a loss to Fort Wayne. Kyle Jones matched a league single period season high by making 24 saves in the second period last Saturday.
