
IceGators trade Valentine

Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators have traded forward Curtis Valentine to the Charlotte Checkers in exchange for cash considerations, IceGators head coach and vice president of hockey operations Dave Farrish announced Tuesday.
Valentine was held without a point in Louisiana's 6-5 shootout win over Arkansas on Saturday. He has 23 points (9g, 14a) and 10 penalty minutes in 61 career games with Pensacola, Pee Dee, New Orleans and the IceGators.
The IceGators play their home opener Friday at 7:05 p.m. against Mississippi. All third-level tickets for that night's game at just $5.75. Rinkside tickets are $22, while first level are $13.75 and second level are $11.75. As always, children, students with valid ID and senior citizens get $2 of normal prices, and $5.75 every night in the third level. Louisiana also plays at home Saturday at 7:05 p.m. against Baton Rouge. Tickets are available at the Cajundome Box Office or through all Ticketmaster locations.
