IceDogs Win Penultimate Preseason Game

Tonight, the Niagara IceDogs played their fifth exhibition game of the season against the Kitchener Rangers.

The game got off to a hot start. IceDogs' Jake Uberti Scored his first goal of the preseason on the Penalty Kill. However, this was quickly returned by the Rangers in less than a minute.

After 20 minutes of play, the game stood at 1-1.

The Second period consisted of fast-pace, goal for goal plays. Kitchener got the quick start, scoring 37 seconds into the period. This was quickly returned by Uberti's second of the game. However, in true back and fourth fashion, Kitchener tallied back. Guschin got his first goal in his debut game with the dogs. The rangers returned the goal less than 20 seconds later. The IceDogs were able to step ahead, with both rookies, Waddick and Cooke putting one on the board.

The Second period ended in favour of the IceDogs, 5-4.

The third period had a steady start. 16:44 in, Brice Cooke gets his second of the game.

The IceDogs take the win, with a 6-4 victory over Kitchener.

The two teams meet again tomorrow night at home, in their final game of the preseason.
