
IceDogs Roll in 10-3 Win Over Belleville

The Niagara IceDogs had three players score multiple goals, including a pair of hat tricks, as they rolled to a 10-3 victory in Belleville Saturday night.
The IceDogs would strike first, as Steven Shipley would beat Belleville starter Malcolm Subban up high to make it 1-0 less than five minutes in. The Bulls would then pick up the equalizer making it 1-1, before Freddie Hamilton would score to make it 2-1 after 20 minutes. Shots after one were 17-7 for the IceDogs.
The second period would see Niagara really hit their stride, as they would outscore Belleville 5-1 in the period. Brock Beukeboom would blast one home to make it 3-1 before an Andrew Agozzino powerplay goal would start a string of four goals in a span of only 3:01. Myles Doan, Shipley and Freddie Hamilton would score the other three goals in the scoring run to make it 7-1. Belleville would add one late in the period to make it 7-2 after two periods.
The third would see the IceDogs keep things rolling as Shipley and Hamilton would both complete hat tricks to make it 9-2. Belleville would score to cut the Niagara lead to 9-3, but Beukeboom would then round out the scoring with his second of the night to make it a 10-3 final. Final shots were 45-17 in favour of the IceDogs.
Niagara will look to close out the weekend with another win tomorrow afternoon when they host the visiting Erie Otters at 2pm at the Gatorade Garden City Complex.
