Niagara IceDogs News Release

A slow start sank the Niagara IceDogs as they fell to the Ottawa 67's 5-2 on Sunday.

The IceDogs allowed three goals in the first seven minutes of the game, falling behind early. Mark Visentin was pulled in favour of Christopher Festarini.

Both teams traded goals in the second period, with Andrew Agozzino scoring for the IceDogs. Alex Friesen and David Pacan recorded assists on the goal.

In the third period, Dougie Hamilton converted on the power play to cut Ottawa's lead to 4-2, but the 67's would add an empty net goal to make it a 5-2 final. Festarini made 14 saves in relief, giving up just one goal.

The IceDogs next home game is Thursday, November 24th against the Brampton Battalion. Puck drop is 7:00pm.
