Tonight, Niagara IceDogs defenceman Liam Ham made his return in our first match-up this season against the Ottawa 67s. This was the first of three home games in a row. We're back in action tomorrow night (Oct. 19th) against the Windsor Spitfires for our first themed game this season! The 'Dogs will be donning superhero jerseys in support of FACS Niagara and FACS Foundation.

The first period ended in a scoreless draw. Ottawa jumped out to a 2-0 lead midway through the second. Kirill Maksimov scored on one knee from the face-off circle to get Niagara's first goal of the night. Helping Maxi get his league-leading sixth goal on the powerplay were Kyen Sopa and Ivan Lodnia.

In the third period, Ian Martin went on the rush and fired off a shot towards the net. Sopa scored off the rebound through the slot to make it a tie game, with the assist going to Martin. The 67s scored in the final 10 minutes to win the game 3-2.

Mark your calendars! We are hosting our first ever Superhero night tomorrow, October 19th, as the Windsor Spitfires come to town! All specialty jerseys will be auctioned live post-game in Section 105. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the jerseys auctioned will be donated to Family and Child Services (FACS) Niagara, in support of the FACS Foundation.

Don't forget to match the 'Dogs; wear your favourite Superhero apparel!
