Niagara IceDogs News Release

Josh Ho-sang had two points against his former team, as the Niagara IceDogs beat the Windsor Spitfires 3-1 Sunday afternoon in Windsor.

The Spitfires scored the only goal of the first period, when Trevor Murphy's point shot beat IceDogs goaltender Brandon Hope on the power play.

In the second period, Blake Siebenaler and former Spitfire Jordan Maletta scored just over a minute apart to give the IceDogs a 2-1 lead heading into the third period.

After shutting the Spitfires down in the third period, Josh Ho-Sang set-up Carter Verhaeghe for a beautiful goal to make it 3-1 for the IceDogs at 18:58. That would be enough to earn the IceDogs the win.

Brandon Hope made 27 saves in goal for the IceDogs.

The Niagara IceDogs are back on the ice tomorrow for their annual Skills Competition presented by Swiss Chalet on Fourth Avenue. It's fun for the whole family so make sure you come down to the Meridian Centre at 1pm!
