IceCaps Sign Three Skaters to PTOs

The St. John's IceCaps are pleased to announce they have signed defencemen Travis Ehrhardt, Jordan Hill and Cody Lampl to professional tryout contracts.

Ehrhardt, 24, played in 17 games with TPS Turku of the SM-liiga during the 2012-13 season where he accumulated 16 penalty minutes. The Calgary, AB native has appeared in 138 AHL games between Manitoba and Grand Rapids for 27 career points (5G, 22A) and 99 career penalty minutes.

Hill, 24, played in 33 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League last season. In that time, the left-handed defenceman recoded 12 points (5G, 7A) and 44 penalty minutes. The Sarnia, ON native has played in 93 career AHL games between Manitoba, Manchester and Bridgeport for 17 career points (7G, 10A) and 110 career penalty minutes.

Lampl, 27, played in 64 games with the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL last season. The right-handed defenceman recorded 15 points (6G, 9A) and 127 penalty minutes. He also appeared in one game with Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League for one assist. The Ketchum, ID native has played in two career AHL games, split between Abbotsford and Grand Rapids, for one career assist and two career penalty minutes.
