IceCaps Release 2013-14 Regular Season Schedule

St. John's IceCaps News Release


The St. John's IceCaps, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced the release of its 2013-14 regular season schedule today.

For the first time in its three-year history, the IceCaps will start the season at home - Friday, October 4th -versus the Providence Bruins.

Of the IceCaps' 38 home games, 28 will take place on weekends, including 11 on Fridays and 14 on Saturdays. Three games are scheduled for Sunday afternoons. Of the remaining 10 home dates, five will take place on Wednesdays, four on Tuesdays and one on Monday.

The IceCaps will host Atlantic Division foes 20 times, including six contests versus the Portland Pirates.

St. John's will welcome Canadian rivals the Toronto Marlies to Mile One Centre on Friday and Saturday, January 10th and 11th and the Hamilton Bulldogs on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 8th and 9th.

The regular season concludes on Saturday, April 19th as the IceCaps face the Pirates at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

The longest homestand for St. John's is eight games from January 4th-21st, while the lengthiest road trip is six games (four times). The IceCaps' busiest month of the season is November, when the club will play 13 contests, including eight away from home.

Game time for all home games is 7:30 pm NST, with the exception of the three Sunday contests which begin at 4:00 pm.
