IceCaps Pound Marlies 5-1

Toronto, ON - The IceCaps extended their point streak to eight games as they defeated the Marlies 5-1 in a penalty-laden game Sunday afternoon at the Ricoh Coliseum.

Morgan Ellis, Bud Holloway and Charles Hudon picked up three points each, all notching a goal and two assists. Rookies Daniel Carr and Mark MacMillan added a tally each to propel the IceCaps over the Marlies. MacMillan's goal was the first of his pro-career.

The IceCaps collected 29 penalty minutes, while the Marlies sat for 48, a collective total of 77 minutes. Netminder Zach Fucale was spectacular in the St. John's victory, stopping 37 of 38 shots.
