
Ice Flyers Take 5-2 Win over FireAntz

The Pensacola Ice Flyers defeat the Fayetteville FireAntz Thursday night in The Hangar. The win puts the Ice Flyers only two points back from Huntsville in the SPHL standings.
The Ice Flyers had an outstanding first period scoring 4 times on 20 shots. One of which was scored by recent addition, returning player and second star recipient, Dan Buccella. "Honestly, no matter where I was this season, my heart was always still in Pensacola. I'm glad to be back and couldn't be happier to be an Ice Flyer again. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season with the guys and all the great fans," Buccella said.
Ice Flyers goalie, Peter Hirsch gets the win with 21 saves on 23 shots. "This game was some of the best hockey the guys have played in a while. We were moving well, passing well, and finally shooting to our potential.and we're only going to go up from here," commented Head Coach Todd Gordon.
The Ice Flyers will not return to The Hangar until Friday March 18 when they face the FireAntz again for St.Baldrick's Night, sponsored by Nemours. Be sure to come out to The Hangar to watch the team, along with other heroes in the community, shave their heads in solidarity to find a cure for kid's cancer.
