Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release
The Pensacola Ice Flyers and their new partner Fishin' Chix would like to invite you to a beach party at Flounder's Chowder House in Pensacola Beach on Saturday, September 10th from 3pm to closing time.
The Ice Flyers are teaming up with the Fishin' Chix to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project and to gather toys for Toys 4 Tots at the Friday, November 4th home game versus the Knoxville Ice Bears. "Our goal is to raise $25,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project and to fill the boat full of toys for the tots," Fishin' Chix President and CEO Claudia Espenscheid said.
As part of the fundraiser, the Fishin' Chix will be selling game tickets to the Ice Flyers' November 4th game at the party at Flounder's. Ticket prices are normally $18, but they will be selling them for $15, and there is no limit to the amount you can buy. $5 of every ticket purchased will go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project. These tickets from the Fishin' Chix officially went on sale on September 1st, and are available at all Winn Dixie stores, www.fishinchix.com, and at all of their sponsors' locations.
Businesses can also get involved with a $250 sponsorship. They will receive 20 game tickets for which they can keep, sell or give-away how they see fit. The $250 will also include a table at the November 4th game for the business to advertise the products and services they have available.
We also want to encourage people to bring a toy to the party as well. Fill your boat, fill your car or truck and head to the beach September 10th," Espenscheid added.
Coach Todd Gordon will be in attendance, as will the team mascot, Maverick, for everyone to greet and talk about the upcoming season.
Even if you cannot attend the September 10th party or the November 4th Ice Flyers' game, the Fishin' Chix would like to invite you to contact them at www.fishinchix.com and make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project to help the brave men and women of our armed forces who have been injured fighting for our freedom.
"The Ice Flyers are very proud to have established a partnership with such a great organization as the Fishin' Chix for a cause that is extremely important to us and to the people of the Pensacola area. We want to thank the Fishin' Chix for the effort they are putting forth to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project and to gather as many toys as possible for Toys 4 Tots," Willa Licata of the Ice Flyers replied.
For those who are interested in supporting the military even more, the Ice Flyers have developed a Top Gun program where you can buy 2 season tickets to donate to the military.
