The Macon Mayhem scored first, but it wasn't enough as the Pensacola Ice Flyers had all the other goals in a 4-1 win over the Mayhem Saturday night at the Macon Coliseum.

The night started promising enough for the Mayhem as Daniel Gentzler scored his third goal of the season just 2:39 after the opening face off. But it was all Pensacola after that.

Corey Banfield led the way with a goal in each period. He completed his hat trick scoring an empty net goal with just seven seconds left in the third period. Joe Caveney had the other goal for Pensacola, a power play goal at 18:18 of the first period that made it 2-1 for Pensacola.

The Mayhem will try to get back on the winning track Sunday afternoon at 4:30 in a home game against the Columbus Cottonmouths. The Mayhem have won each of the previous two meetings against Columbus.

Following Sunday's game, Mayhem players will skate with fans in a special public skating session.
