RIDING INTO TOWN

Knoxville comes into Peoria tonight after taking a win over Pensacola on their home ice in Knoxville last night. The Ice Bears and Ice Flyers were tied 1-1 after one period before Knoxville socred three in the second and two more in the third to eventually take a 6-4 win. The Knoxville victory comes on the heels of a 4-0 loss Tuesday night at Huntsville.A NEW LOOK

Peoria will have two players making their Rivermen debuts tonight, with defensemen Francis Meilleur and Mark Corbett signed this week. Meilleur played 124 games in the ECHL from 2011-13 before playing two professional seasons in France, while Corbett played seven games for Knoxville at the end of the regular season in addition to four playoff games during Knoxville's run to the President's Cup. Corbett has played four games this season, two with Macon of the SPHL and two with the FHL's Danville Dashers.

INTO THE GOAL COLUMN

Last Saturday's win in Louisiana featured the first goal of the season for three Rivermen players as Brandon Greenside, Matt Summers, and Ben Oskroba each recorded their first tallies of the 2015-16 season. Greenside also has one assist thus far this season while Summers and Oskroba each have a pair of helpers to their respective credits.

POWERING UP

The Rivermen have scored four powerplay goals in their last three games after they were 0-for-18 with the man advantage in their first three games of the year. With the four powerplay tallies the Rivermen are 4-for-15 (26.7%) on the powerplay over their last three contests.

WHAT'S AHEAD

Following tonight's tilt the Rivermen will play five more games at home, starting with three next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday against the Louisiana IceGators, who Peoria swept in a three-game series last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana.
