Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release
PENSACOLA, FL. (February 18, 2014) - The first-placed Pensacola Ice Flyers are nearing the 100,000-fan mark and they are pushing to cross this threshold this Thursday night when the Mississippi Surge are in town to faceoff at 6:35 p.m. at the Pensacola Bay Center.
A total of 4,226 fans need to be in attendance Thursday to reach this mark. The game's pre-sold numbers are needing only 1500 more tickets sold and the Ice Flyers are requesting their fans' help to be the SPHL's first team to reach 100,000 fans this season.
As an incentive, the Ice Flyers will give away three $1000 cash prizes and the 50/50 will be a guaranteed $1000, but only if they meet 100,000 fans for the 2013-14 season on Thursday night.
Thursday is also Cox Customer Appreciation Night where fans can show their Cox bill and receive 10% off center ice tickets at the Bay Center Box Office.
As a cross-promotion with Pensacon, which takes place Friday, Feb. 21 to Sunday, Feb. 23 at the Pensacola Bay Center, those with any Pensacon pass can show their pass at the Bay Center Box Office to receive 35% off center ice tickets. Everyone in attendance on Thursday can also get a sneak peak at some of the characters of Pensacon.
Fans can also enjoy $3 beer and $2 hot dogs Thursday night up until the start of the second period.
