Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release
PENSACOLA, Fla. (Sept. 22, 2015) - The Pensacola Ice Flyers and Head Coach Rod Aldoff announced today the addition of forwards Zac Frischmon and Ryan Kesti to the team's training camp roster.
"I look forward seeing Zac play. He comes in with a very good reputation and tremendous work ethic. He wants to be a great player and he'll do whatever it takes to be successful," Aldoff said. "Ryan is coming into his first year of pro hockey with a great attitude and I believe he will have a great year. He has great size and strength that fits his game well."
Frischmon, a native of Ham Lake, Minn., comes to the Ice Flyers after a four year career at NCAA Division I Mercyhurst University. Last season, he appeared in 39 games for the Lakers and had seven goals, 12 assists, and 16 penalty minutes (PIM). After concluding his career with Mercyhurst, Frischmon played in one game for the ECHL's Reading Royals.
"I'm extremely blessed to have the opportunity to play for Pensacola this year," remarked Frischmon. "Pensacola has a reputation for having a great community, beautiful beaches, and a strong hockey tradition. I'm looking forward to the challenge of carrying on the success of previous teams."
Kesti hails from Red Wing, Minn., and finds his way to Pensacola after playing his college hockey at Northern Michigan University, an NCAA Division I institution. In 38 games last season, Kesti scored six goals, added three assists, and had 23 PIM.
"I am excited to have the opportunity to join such a quality organization in a great city," Kesti stated. "I look forward to competing for a championship and continuing to build on the success the Pensacola Ice Flyers have had over the past several years."
