Louisiana IceGators Defenseman Casey Goll

Head coach Drew Omicioli has inked three more players to the IceGator training camp roster. Two of the three coming in with ECHL experience.
New to the IceGators is 5' 11" 195 pound forward Jon Puskar. Jon played eight games in the ECHL and finishing the season with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. Coach Omicioli had this to say about Puskar "I am extremely excited to add the offensive presence of the Jon Puskar. Jon was a player we hated playing against last year as he was a thorn in our side with any line he played on for Pensacola. Puskar was a standout in Div 1 college and I feel if put in the right situation can be a 25 plus goal scorer for us next season. I look forward to working with Jon and his all around playing will make our offense that much stronger."
Dallas Texas native Defenseman Nick Kuqali will add size to the back end with his 6' 3" 202 pound frame. Omicioli added this about Kuqali, "Nick is heading back to Cajun Country after a short stint with the Gators last season. Nick is a leader on and off the ice and last year took advantage of his time in Huntsville and earned himself a regular shift in Wheeling of the ECHL. I feel his leadership to go along with his solid, steady defensive play will make him a great veteran presence on our team. Kuqali is a versatile defenseman who can play in all three zones and is known for his solid defensive presence in the dzone."
Rounding out the three additions is Casey Goll. Casey had a successful four seasons playing college hockey for Southern New Hampshire University before finishing the 2014-2015 season with the IceGators. Casey managed a +2 rating in ten games last season. Coach Omicioli had this to say about his returning defenseman, "Casey is coming back to camp this year after gaining ten games experience. I felt Casey was solid on the back end for us and the experience at the end of the year helped him gain confidence along with the quicker tempo of pro hockey. Goll will be a guy who can come in and be a shutdown style defenseman who can play with a mean streak."
